Transparency is important to us. This page explains exactly how affiliate links work on AIWriteKit, which pages contain them, and how they do — and do not — affect the content we publish. If you have any questions after reading this, please use our contact page.

01What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL that connects a click on our site to a purchase made on a third-party website. When you click an affiliate link on AIWriteKit and subsequently purchase a product or subscription, the software provider pays us a small referral commission.

This commission comes out of the provider's marketing budget — it is not added on top of the price you pay. You pay exactly the same amount whether you click through from AIWriteKit or visit the provider's website directly.

A simple example

If Grammarly costs $12/month and you purchase after clicking our affiliate link, you pay $12. We receive a commission from Grammarly. You do not pay $12 plus a commission — you simply pay $12.

02How We Use Affiliate Links

Affiliate links appear primarily in our review and comparison articles. They are placed on links to products we have independently analysed and that we genuinely believe are useful to our readers.

We use affiliate income to:

  • Cover the costs of hosting, maintaining and improving this website
  • Keep all of our free writing tools available at no charge to every visitor
  • Fund the time spent researching, writing and updating our content
  • Ensure we can continue publishing honest, independent reviews without a paywall

Without affiliate income, we would not be able to keep AIWriteKit free. We are grateful to readers who support the site by purchasing products through our links.

03No Extra Cost to You — Ever

Affiliate prices are identical to direct prices

Every price shown on AIWriteKit reflects the standard price charged by the software provider. We do not add fees, mark up prices or benefit from any price difference between affiliate and direct purchases. If a provider runs a discount or promotional price, that price applies whether you come from our site or not.

We verify this regularly. If you ever notice a price discrepancy between a product page and what you are charged after clicking our link, please let us know immediately and we will investigate.

04Editorial Independence

The most important principle at AIWriteKit is that our editorial content is never influenced by whether or not a product has an affiliate programme, how much commission it pays, or any commercial relationship we have with a provider.

We analyse before we link

Every product that appears in a review or comparison has been evaluated on its actual merits — output quality, pricing, ease of use and support. Affiliate status is never considered during the evaluation.

Low commissions do not mean lower rankings

A product that pays a smaller commission will rank above one that pays more if it genuinely performs better. Commission rates play zero role in how we rank or score anything.

We do not accept payment for positive reviews

No provider can pay to receive a favourable review, a higher score or a top ranking on AIWriteKit. Our scores and recommendations are earned, not purchased.

Negative findings are published

If a product we analyse has significant weaknesses, we report them clearly — even if we earn a commission from that product. Honest reviews serve our readers; misleading ones do not.

05Which Pages Contain Affiliate Links

Affiliate links appear on the following types of pages on AIWriteKit:

Every page that contains affiliate links displays a clear disclosure notice at the top of the page, above all other content. Our free tools pages do not contain affiliate links — they exist purely to provide a useful service.

06FTC Compliance

AIWriteKit complies with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of any material connection between a publisher and a product being recommended.

Our affiliate disclosure is placed at the top of every relevant page — not hidden in a footer, buried in small print or tucked away on a separate disclosure page. We believe readers deserve to know about affiliate relationships upfront, before they read a word of our content.

If you are based in the UK, EU or elsewhere, please note that we also aim to comply with local advertising standards requirements including those set by the ASA (UK) and applicable EU consumer protection regulations.

07Products We Decline to Recommend

Not every product that approaches us with an affiliate arrangement makes it onto our site. We regularly decline to recommend products that do not meet our editorial standards, regardless of the commission offered.

We will not recommend a product if:

  • It does not perform adequately in our hands-on evaluation
  • Its pricing is unreasonably high relative to the value it provides
  • Its customer support is poor or unresponsive during our testing period
  • It has a history of misleading users about features, pricing or cancellation terms
  • We cannot verify the claims made on its own marketing pages

Maintaining the trust of our readers matters more to us than maximising affiliate revenue. A recommendation from AIWriteKit is only given when we would genuinely suggest the product to a friend.
